Bo na ten dzień bardzo czekają hiszpańskie dzieci... | The day of Three Kings isn't celebrated so pompously in Poland. Apart from having the day off there is nothing special. What's a pity. Because spanish children are waiting for this day so much... |
| Wieczorem, 5 stycznia, dzieci zostawiają przy oknie skarpetę i dwie szklanki. W jednej wodę dla wielbłądów i w drugiej mleko dla Trzech Króli. I rano szybko wstają, żeby zobaczyć prezenty od Kacpra, Melchiora i Baltazara. Tradycja podobna do polskich Mikołajek obchodzonych 6 grudnia, ale dla mnie zostawianie czegoś do picia lub jedzenia nadaje jeszcze większej magiczności :) | In the evening, on 5th of january, children leave their socks for gifts near the window and 2 glasses. In the first one there is water for camels and in the second one milk for Kings. Early in the morning they check those socks and enjoy gifts from Caspar, Melchior and Balthazar. This tradition is similar to polish custom called "Mikołajki" celebrated on 6th of december, but for me leaving those things to eat and drink makes this special day more magic :) |
